Assistant Tax Manager – Dubai Manufacturing

About the role

The Assistant Tax Manager will oversee direct and indirect tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions for a manufacturing company based in Dubai. The role supports the implementation of UAE Corporate Tax, conducts internal tax reviews, and advises business units on tax implications of transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain direct tax, indirect tax and transfer pricing compliance for UAE, India, Vietnam, KSA, Qatar and other jurisdictions.
• Ensure timely filing of VAT, Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and other tax returns.
• Coordinate with accounting and treasury to guarantee tax dues are paid on schedule.
• Perform monthly tax reconciliations, prepare reports for finance and internal audit teams, and lead quarterly tax audits.
• Review contracts and agreements to advise on CIT/VAT applicability and implement end‑to‑end tax processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in direct and indirect tax within a large corporate or consultancy environment.
• Professional tax qualifications such as CA, CPA or ACCA are preferred.
• Strong understanding of tax laws, VAT and corporate tax regulations across the relevant jurisdictions.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience preparing and submitting VAT, CIT and other mandatory tax returns.
• Ability to design, implement and monitor tax controls and compliance frameworks.
• Experience conducting tax savings analysis and supporting tax‑related system setups.
