Assistant Technician - Electrical

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Technician – Electrical to support the maintenance of electrical systems across our Abu Dhabi facilities. The role involves assisting senior technicians with preventive and corrective tasks, ensuring safe and reliable operation of building services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance of lighting, power outlets, distribution boards, control panels and other building electrical services.
• Support routine inspections, report defects, and help with cleaning, tightening and servicing of electrical components.
• Help troubleshoot faults, replace lamps, switches, breakers, contactors and other accessories under supervision.
• Participate in cable pulling, conduit installation, equipment mounting and minor electrical modifications.
• Assist with HVAC electrical systems, generators, UPS, emergency lighting and backup power testing.

Required profile

• ITI, Trade Certificate or Technical Qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Trade.
• 1–3 years of experience in electrical or building maintenance, preferably in commercial, residential or facilities management environments.
• Basic understanding of electrical safety procedures, permit‑to‑work and PPE requirements.

Required skills

• Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring and building services.
• Ability to use common electrical hand tools and basic testing equipment.
• Experience with cable pulling, conduit installation and equipment mounting.
