About the role

Join the vibrant dining team at SO/ Uptown Dubai as an Assistant Waiter. You will support the lead waiter in delivering a seamless and memorable dining experience for guests in a stylish, fashion‑inspired hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the lead waiter in serving food and beverages to guests.
• Set and clear tables, arranging cutlery, glassware and dishes correctly.
• Greet and seat guests, provide menus and answer basic menu questions.
• Take drink orders and relay them to bar staff.
• Refill water glasses and attend to guest needs throughout the meal.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery.
• Process payments and handle cash transactions when required.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards.
• Participate in pre‑shift meetings and ongoing training.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent English; Arabic or other languages a plus.
• Excellent customer‑service attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented setting.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and carry trays.
• Basic math skills for cash handling.
• Attention to detail in food presentation and table settings.
