Associate Director – Performance Measurement, Risk & Analytics

About the role

The Associate Director will lead performance measurement, risk reporting and analytics for a leading multi‑family office in Dubai. This senior position combines portfolio performance oversight with the development of advanced risk tools, supporting both private and public market investments.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate portfolio performance reporting and analysis, delivering insights to stakeholders across private and public markets.
• Improve risk and return reporting frameworks.
• Collaborate with operations to resolve performance issues such as pricing, derivatives, corporate actions, transfers, and cash flows.
• Support the design and implementation of policies and processes that mitigate operational risk.
• Conduct risk reporting and analysis, working with the IT team to enhance performance systems and data delivery.
• Develop new risk metrics and methodologies to strengthen the firm’s risk tools.
• Assist with fund due diligence by assessing performance, risk, and peer comparisons.
• Measure and monitor portfolio risk exposures and define budget allocations for each asset class.

Required profile

• Background in statistics or finance, preferably with CFA or CPA qualifications.
• Programming proficiency in Visual Basic, Python, R, and SQL.
• Strong financial reporting and analysis capabilities across performance and risk.
• Good understanding of both public and private markets.
• Detail‑oriented, quick learner with a strong sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex information.
