Associate Engineer, Electrical

About the role

The Associate Engineer, Electrical will work under direct supervision to support the study, design, specification and service delivery for a range of electrical and electronic systems. This entry‑level position applies basic engineering principles to power generation, transmission, distribution and related infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Develop study, design and specification documents for electrical systems such as power generation, transmission, distribution, cabling, lighting and motor control centers.
• Perform well‑defined assignments that require application of basic engineering principles and judgment in selecting engineering alternatives.
• Support performance monitoring and control of power systems, including cathodic protection, grounding, lightning protection and heat tracing.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering.
• Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification is preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of power generation, transmission and distribution.
• Experience with cabling, wiring, lighting, motor control centers and communications systems.
• Understanding of cathodic protection, grounding, lightning protection and heat tracing.
