Associate Finance Manager – Retail Operations

About the role

The Associate Finance Manager will ensure financial governance across store and warehouse operations for MAF Retail. You will monitor key operational and financial processes, supporting initiatives that reduce stock losses and improve inventory controls.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor waste, shrinkage, and stock movement across stores and warehouses.
• Facilitate stock audits and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
• Ensure accuracy of item costs, margins, and inventory‑related transactions.
• Oversee pending GRNs, invoicing processes and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Manage fixed‑asset processes including capitalization, tracking and write‑offs.
• Supervise cash handling, tender reconciliations, petty‑cash utilization and cash spot checks.
• Monitor operating expenses and support budget control across stores and warehouses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in finance, audit, financial controlling or store‑operations finance within retail, FMCG, hypermarkets, supermarkets or consumer goods.
• Strong background in inventory accounting, stock reconciliation and shrinkage control.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Financial analysis and reporting.
