Associate Insurance Leader – Hospital Operations

About the role

The Associate Insurance Leader will drive strategic planning, operational excellence, budget management and insurance oversight for Medcare Hospital in Dubai. This senior position reports to senior leadership and works closely with internal and external stakeholders to align initiatives with the hospital’s mission and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the strategic planning process, set direction for initiatives, and develop short‑ and long‑range institutional goals aligned with the hospital’s mission and vision.
• Oversee quality, performance improvement and service excellence programs, ensuring compliance with Joint Commission, NABH and ISO standards.
• Manage the unit’s EBITDA, monitor costs, identify profitable service lines and implement control mechanisms to address variances.
• Prepare and manage the fiscal year budget, involve department heads in budgeting, and advise the CEO on financial matters.
• Negotiate insurance coverage and policies with insurers, analyze claim data, and design risk‑financing solutions to optimize coverage and cost.
• Collaborate with internal leaders (CEO, CFO, CHRO, COO) and external partners (government officials, insurance providers) to ensure alignment of initiatives and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• MBA degree.
• 10–15 years of experience, with at least 10 years in the healthcare industry.
• Proven track record in strategic planning, budget management, and insurance negotiations.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate teams and drive quality improvement.
