Associate Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Associate Procurement Specialist supports the procurement team by handling routine sourcing and buying tasks. Working under senior guidance, the role focuses on low‑value commitments and ensures smooth procurement operations.

Key responsibilities

• Use purchasing systems to source, buy, and manage procured items and services.
• Submit suppliers for registration and qualification.
• Collaborate with senior procurement members and category managers to select potential suppliers.
• Apply standard purchase order terms and conditions and maintain records of goods ordered and received.
• Work with Expeditors and other team members to resolve vendor changes.
• Process requisitions into purchase orders following defined procedures.
• Prepare commercial bid analyses with recommendations for award.
• Generate reports on market conditions and merchandise costs.
• Represent the company in contract negotiations and policy formulation with suppliers.
• Resolve vendor or contractor claims against suppliers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline, or equivalent education with 2 years relevant experience.
• 0‑3 years of procurement or supply‑chain experience.
• Broad knowledge of the procurement process and ability to communicate commercial concepts.
• Understanding of local and regional logistics regulations.
• Support integrated procurement worldwide and work with suppliers on agreements.
• Certificates in process improvement or Six Sigma are a plus.
