Associate Staff Physician – Anesthesiology (Specialist)

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is seeking a qualified Specialist in Anesthesia to join its Integrated Hospital Care Institute as an Associate Staff Physician. This full‑time position involves delivering comprehensive anesthetic care across a range of surgical and non‑surgical procedures within a dynamic, multispecialty environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑operative evaluations, assess medical histories and surgical risks, and counsel patients on anesthetic options.
• Develop individualized anesthesia care plans, incorporating various modalities such as TCI and regional techniques.
• Utilise both invasive and non‑invasive monitoring technologies to ensure patient safety.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and assist in the care of critically ill patients across the facility.
• Provide postoperative care, including safe recovery monitoring and effective hand‑off of critically ill patients.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver culturally appropriate and empathetic care.

Required profile

• Specialist qualification in Anesthesia (board‑certified or board‑eligible).
• Minimum of 24 months (2 years) of clinical experience in anesthesiology.
• Ability to work sensitively within a multicultural environment.
• Competence in managing critically ill patients and handling emergency situations.
