Associate Vice President – Payments Processing Hub

About the role

Lead the end‑to‑end payments processing function for a leading UAE bank, ensuring transaction accuracy, compliance and service‑level performance while driving automation and process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Authorize and oversee SWIFT payments, account credits, manager’s cheques and vendor payments.
• Review and approve accounting entries, general ledger postings and financial transactions.
• Manage vendor payment activities and ensure timely settlement of approved invoices.
• Monitor payment performance metrics and drive service excellence across operations.
• Oversee reconciliations of supplier balances, suspense accounts and utility payments.
• Prepare and review management reports on payments, accounts payable and reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve payment and accounting exceptions while minimizing operational risk.
• Support internal, external and regulatory audits with accurate documentation.
• Identify opportunities for automation, process optimisation and enhanced controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or related discipline.
• UAE national with a Family Book.
• Minimum 5 years experience in accounts payable or payments operations in a large organisation.
• Experience handling >2,000 transactions per month and values exceeding AED 30 million.
• Strong understanding of banking operations, payment processing and financial controls.
