Audio Video Technician

About the role

The Audio Video Technician provides high‑quality technical and creative support to the Expressive Arts Faculty, covering Music, Drama and Art. Working on‑site in a vibrant school environment, the role ensures seamless delivery of lessons, rehearsals, performances and whole‑school events through effective use of AV technology.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and set up AV, lighting, sound, projection and digital equipment for daily lessons and creative projects.
• Support teachers and students with technical requirements, including recordings, showcases and digital portfolios.
• Operate and maintain sound desks, lighting rigs, microphones, projectors and stage technology for concerts, assemblies, exhibitions and live events.
• Provide troubleshooting during lessons and events to minimise disruption.
• Manage equipment bookings, inventory, routine checks, fault reporting and basic repairs.
• Assist with filming, livestreaming and photography for school events.
• Recommend upgrades or new technologies to enhance learning and performance outcomes.
