Audit and Assurance Manager

About the role

The Audit and Assurance Manager leads the internal audit function, ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and strategic objectives. This role provides strategic insights to improve operational efficiency and integrity across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop risk‑based strategic and annual audit plans aligned with corporate objectives, ARC priorities, and IA Manual standards.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to identify key risks, emerging issues, and regulatory changes for continuous plan updates.
• Lead end‑to‑end assurance and advisory engagements, preparing audit planning memoranda and reviewing risk and control matrices.
• Supervise and coach engagement teams, ensuring timely completion, high‑quality work papers, and sufficient audit evidence.
• Perform root‑cause analyses of control deficiencies and recommend practical remediation solutions.
• Prepare clear, concise audit reports, discuss findings with management, and obtain actionable response plans.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in managing internal audit engagements within a large organization.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment, control evaluation, and audit reporting processes.
• Proven ability to lead and develop audit teams while maintaining professional standards.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with senior management and process owners.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IIA Standards
• Familiarity with IA Manual and internal audit methodologies
