Automation QA Engineer

About the role

Simera is looking for a detail‑oriented, analytical Automation QA Engineer to design, develop and maintain automated testing solutions. You will work closely with development and product teams to ensure software releases meet high quality, reliability and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts, frameworks and test suites.
• Analyze requirements, user stories and specifications to spot automation opportunities.
• Create and execute automated functional, regression, integration, API and end‑to‑end tests.
• Develop reusable, scalable automation frameworks and components.
• Identify, reproduce, document and track software defects.
• Investigate test failures and determine root causes.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
• Conduct cross‑browser, cross‑platform and device testing as needed.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, product managers and other stakeholders.

• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required skills

• Software testing and QA methodologies.
• Test automation frameworks and tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium).
• Programming/scripting languages: Java, Python, JavaScript, C#.
• API testing tools: Postman, REST Assured.
• CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Cross‑browser and cross‑platform testing.
