Automation Service Engineer – Dubai

About the role

Siemens Digital Industries is seeking an experienced Automation Service Engineer to join its Dubai team. You will design, implement, test, and commission advanced automation control systems for customers in the discrete and process industries, ensuring high performance, safety, and cybersecurity.

Key responsibilities

• Design, engineer, implement, test, and commission PCS 7 and SIMATIC S7 safety control systems.
• Develop and program PCS 7, TIA Portal, WinCC, STEP 7, and PLC applications based on schematics and customer specifications.
• Troubleshoot control loops, motor wiring, industrial instrumentation, and network communication issues.
• Create industrial network architectures with a focus on cybersecurity best practices.
• Perform risk assessments, vulnerability testing, and implement security measures for control systems.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation such as I/O lists, wiring diagrams, control schematics, SCADA graphics, FAT/SAT procedures, and O&M manuals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with Siemens DCS, SCADA, and safety systems.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent client‑facing communication skills and ability to work in mixed client/contractor teams.
