AV IT Assistant – School Auditorium Support

About the role

The school is looking for a proactive AV IT Assistant to support the auditorium’s audio‑visual and IT infrastructure. You will ensure smooth operation of equipment during events and provide technical assistance to staff and students.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain projectors, microphones, sound and lighting systems.
• Assist presenters and performers with equipment usage.
• Troubleshoot AV issues in real time during events.
• Configure and maintain computers, networking and software in the auditorium.
• Coordinate with the school’s IT department for system integration.
• Perform regular inspections, cleaning and preventive maintenance of AV and IT gear.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date inventory of equipment, accessories and spare parts.
• Provide training and guidance on best practices and safety measures.
• Support event organizers in planning technical requirements.
• Assist the IT Support Assistant during peak periods.

Required profile

• Relevant bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Willingness to undergo enhanced child protection screening and background checks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure during live events.

Required skills

• Operation of audio‑visual equipment (projectors, microphones, sound systems, lighting).
• Basic IT hardware and networking knowledge.
• Software installation and troubleshooting.
• Inventory management of technical assets.
• Ability to train non‑technical users.
