AVP, Fraud Investigations – External Liaison

About the role

The Group Fraud Risk & Investigations function provides second‑line oversight of fraud risk across the bank’s front‑office and support functions. This role ensures that products, policies, processes and new initiatives are regularly assessed for fraud risk and that high‑risk business processes are reviewed and mitigated.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in implementing bank‑wide fraud assessment and mitigation strategies for key products, channels and segments.
• Conduct ad‑hoc and periodic fraud risk assessments, including reviews of loans, cards and high‑risk business processes.
• Engage with business units to walkthrough new initiatives, identify fraud risks and ensure appropriate controls are embedded.
• Collaborate with investigations, technology and strategy SMEs to incorporate their input into risk assessments.
• Prepare timely unit reports, review policy and procedural changes, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as the GFRI single point of contact for digital teams, BRD and UAT testing, and vigilance sampling reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the banking sector.
• In‑depth understanding of bank products, channels, services and fraud risk.
• Strong administrative, communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work closely with line managers and risk committees to ensure risks are identified, mitigated or accepted.
