About the role
Driven to create unique home‑grown food concepts that bring people together, the Independent Food Company is a UAE/KSA‑based hospitality company with multiple concepts under its umbrella – SALT, Parker’s, Shalwa, Somewhere, Public, Soil and Kumo. We are seeking enthusiastic kitchen staff for various back‑of‑house positions across our brands.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, specifications, and quality standards.
- Ensure food is presented consistently and meets company standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times.
- Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating stock using FIFO principles.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or wastage.
- Support kitchen operations during busy service periods.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of ingredients and prepared food items.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Comply with all health, safety, and company policies and procedures.
