Banquet Sous Chef – Luxury Resort Dubai

About the role

The Banquet Sous Chef will support the Banquet Chef in delivering exceptional culinary experiences for a wide range of events at One&Only One Za'abeel, a new luxury resort in Dubai. This role combines hands‑on cooking, team leadership, and meticulous quality control to ensure every banquet, wedding, or corporate function exceeds guest expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the banquet kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
• Coordinate food preparation and service for multiple simultaneous events, ensuring seamless execution.
• Manage inventory, control costs, and maintain accurate records of food usage.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and internal standards.
• Develop and mentor a diverse culinary team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar leadership role in banquet, catering, or large‑volume hotel operations.
• Strong culinary background with excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment while handling multiple events.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Passion for delivering memorable dining experiences.
