BIM Engineer – Bridge & Tunnel Structures

About the role

Ready to put your design and modeling skills to work on marquee infrastructure projects that will change the fabric of our community. You will collaborate closely with other BIM team members and engineers to ensure a coordinated design for bridge and tunnel structures.

Key responsibilities

• Support the BIM Coordinator and project delivery teams in day‑to‑day BIM implementation.
• Develop 3D/2D models for drawing preparation, clash reporting and presentations, adhering to project LOD requirements.
• Extract models for clash analysis, schedule review and quantity take‑off.
• Coordinate model interfaces with designers and engineers from other disciplines.
• Prepare engineering drawings (arrangements, layouts, profiles, sections) directly from the model.
• Deliver Project Information Models (PIMs) in line with TIDP, MIDP and CDE protocols.
• Conduct clash detection, visual walkthroughs and constructability analyses.
• Prepare BIM package submissions and ensure compliance with company quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
• Minimum 5 + years of hands‑on Revit experience on concrete and steel bridge or tunnel projects.
• Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD design using AutoCAD and Revit, including creation of Revit families and worksets.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and experience producing working drawings and clash detection reports.
• Knowledge of BIM standards such as ISO 19650, PAS 1192‑2 and BS 1192, and familiarity with LOD, naming conventions and parametric modeling.
