BIM Manager – Buildings

About the role

The BIM Manager will support the Engineering Supervision Teams and lead the day‑to‑day development, establishment and implementation of BIM within the Buildings Design Team on prestigious projects. This role ensures effective implementation and compliance with BIM standards, processes and protocols at both organisational and project levels.

Key responsibilities

• Support BIM Management Office activities and contribute to the MEA Digital Engineering Roadmap.
• Provide progress and performance updates to clients and the Design Director.
• Issue and respond to formal BIM‑related correspondence.
• Develop and support proposal leads in RFPs, including clarifications and technical write‑ups.
• Evaluate, deploy and train on BIM hardware and software for projects.
• Configure and establish the Common Data Environment (CDE) for project use.
• Create and maintain BIM software template files to ensure standards compliance.
• Manage object creation and library maintenance according to project stages.
• Develop, enforce and automate BIM documentation and workflow standards.
• Prepare and monitor BIM Execution Plans, Task and Master Information Delivery Plans.
• Validate project design delivery, including modeling, detailing, scheduling and data extraction.
• Ensure Project Information Models (PIMs) meet agreed delivery protocols.
• Review clash interference, coordinate with design leads and report on model resolution.
• Prepare validation reports for milestone BIM package submissions.
