Biology Teacher – Bateen World Academy

About the role

Aldar Academies are seeking a full‑time Biology Teacher for Bateen World Academy, starting in the 2026‑2027 academic year. The school combines British and International Baccalaureate curricula and serves students from FS1 to Year 13. The successful candidate will contribute to the school’s high‑achievement culture and uphold its core values.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Biology lessons in line with the school’s Teaching and Learning Policy.
• Create a supportive learning climate, set clear objectives, and differentiate instruction for SEN, EAL, and gifted‑and‑talented students.
• Utilise assessment data and performance indicators to inform planning and provide targeted feedback.
• Integrate ICT tools to enhance learning outcomes and maintain accurate student progress records.
• Uphold the Behaviour for Learning Policy, promoting punctuality, appropriate conduct, and high standards of work.
• Mark student work regularly (at least bi‑weekly) and set progress targets according to the school’s marking policy.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of teaching experience (approximately 24 months) in Biology or related science subjects.
• Familiarity with GCSE and IB Biology curricula, including the IB Diploma and Career‑related Programme.
• Understanding and appreciation of the cultural values of the Abu Dhabi region.
• Alignment with Aldar Education’s core values and ethos.

Required skills

• Strong subject knowledge in Biology, covering GCSE and IB standards.
• Proficiency in using ICT to support classroom instruction and assessment.
