BMS Design & Estimation Engineer

About the role

NAFFCO is seeking a Building Management System (BMS) Design & Estimation Engineer to lead tender reviews, cost estimations and technical proposals for BMS projects. The role ensures compliance with client specifications, industry standards and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications and BOQs related to BMS projects.
• Analyse HVAC controls, energy management and building automation requirements.
• Prepare detailed quantity take‑offs for controllers, sensors, actuators, control panels, cables and accessories.
• Develop accurate cost estimations, pricing sheets and maintain standard costing databases.
• Coordinate with vendors, obtain quotations, evaluate offers and support procurement negotiations.
• Draft techno‑commercial proposals, material submittals and compliance statements.
• Conduct value engineering to optimise cost without compromising performance.
• Collaborate with sales, design, procurement and project execution teams throughout the bid cycle.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in BMS, ELV or HVAC controls estimation.
• Familiarity with UAE/GCC projects is an advantage.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Excellent coordination and communication abilities.
