Boarding Officer

About the role

Wilhelmsen Port Services is looking for a Boarding Officer to join its Abu Dhabi team. You will support vessel calls by handling documentation, coordinating with multiple stakeholders and ensuring smooth cargo operations throughout the port call.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and process ship documents during each port call.
• Communicate and coordinate with vessel owners, shippers, charterers, consignees, port authorities and terminal representatives.
• Prepare and submit arrival and departure reports within required timeframes.
• Attend and board vessels as directed, following SOPs and customer requirements.
• Ensure PDA is forwarded to principals before vessel arrival.
• Coordinate cargo discharge/load activities and update the WASP system.
• Draft Revised DA and change status to RAD within 72 hours of departure.
• Respond promptly to enquiries and relay cargo‑related information to managers.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 month relevant experience in marine or port operations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills for interaction with diverse parties.
