BTEC Business Teacher

About the role

The school is seeking a dedicated BTEC Business Teacher to plan, deliver, and assess business curriculum for secondary students in Dubai. The role involves close collaboration with academic coordinators, psychologists, and parents to support student learning and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans in advance and share them with the Head of Level and Academic Coordinator.
• Organise teaching materials, maintain the grade book, and enter grades on schedule.
• Design monthly assessments, grade assignments, and manage homework boards.
• Supervise playground duties and keep the classroom environment engaging.
• Work with the Psychology Department to support students with academic, behavioural, or special‑needs issues.
• Participate in meetings, workshops, parent conferences, and school activities.
• Record daily attendance and collect portfolio assignments for evaluation periods.
• Promote student participation in sub‑committees, community service, and fundraising projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Experience planning lessons, assessing student work, and maintaining academic records.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate with parents.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital tools and intermediate‑level Microsoft Office.
