Business Development & Client Management – Life Reinsurance (Dubai)

About the role

QBE Insurance Group is seeking a senior professional to lead Business Development and Client Management for its Life reinsurance business across the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. Based in Dubai, you will shape market strategies, grow the portfolio and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite complex new life reinsurance business in line with the company’s underwriting guidelines.
• Develop and execute market and client‑management strategies to expand the MEA life reinsurance portfolio.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, key stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Collaborate closely with underwriting, actuarial and client‑management teams to deliver tailored solutions.
• Coach and mentor junior underwriters and assistant underwriters.
• Monitor industry trends, new product introductions and regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in life insurance or reinsurance underwriting.
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a multinational, fast‑paced environment.
