Business Development – GCC Executive Search

About the role

Cortex Search, a Dubai‑based executive search firm specialising in AI, technology and cybersecurity, is looking for a senior Business Development professional to drive growth across the GCC. You will be the front‑line champion, introducing the firm to founders, CTOs, CISOs and HR leaders and converting those conversations into retained mandates.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and target organisations investing in AI and cybersecurity across the GCC, including scale‑ups, enterprises and sovereign‑backed ventures.
• Generate new business through outbound outreach, events, conferences and referrals.
• Meet decision‑makers face‑to‑face, pitch the Cortex model and negotiate retained agreements.
• Hand over qualified clients to the delivery team while maintaining ongoing relationships.
• Provide market intelligence to the founders to shape future market focus.
• Represent the brand at industry events throughout the region.

Required profile

• Proven recruitment business development experience with a track record of selling executive search services.
• Deep understanding of the GCC market and existing contacts at senior level.
• Comfort engaging with founders, C‑suite executives and government stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the GCC (valid driving licence and passport).
• Self‑sufficient, able to operate independently within a small team.
• Tech or cyber sector exposure is a plus, but strong credibility and hunger are essential.
• Willingness to relocate to Dubai if not already based in the UAE.
