Business Development Manager – Financial Services (Dubai)

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position in Dubai is for a Business Development Manager at Orient Insurance Company. You will generate new leads, build and maintain client relationships, and identify suitable insurance solutions for prospective clients.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new leads and expand the client portfolio through proactive business development activities.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
• Understand client requirements and recommend appropriate insurance products and solutions.
• Prepare proposals, present insurance quotes, and customize plans using internal tools and systems.
• Achieve assigned sales and business‑growth targets.
• Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and operations teams to ensure seamless client servicing.
• Maintain consistent and professional communication with clients throughout the sales cycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales and relationship management, including lead generation and client retention.
• Knowledge of insurance solutions such as property, SME & individual medical, marine, motor, liability and other general lines.
• Strong negotiation, presentation and proposal‑preparation skills.
• Ability to achieve sales targets in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
• Familiarity with the UAE market and regulatory framework (advantageous).
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance or a related field, and/or relevant certifications.
• Experience in business development or sales within the local insurance industry, holding a current portfolio of clients and prospects.
