Business Development Manager – Gulf Region

About the role

The Economist Group is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives across non‑government and non‑financial services sectors in the Gulf region. This high‑impact commercial role will support the Group’s mission to provide trusted analysis and insights to organisations worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Gulf market, focusing on non‑government and non‑financial services.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior decision‑makers and C‑suite executives.
• Collaborate with internal product, research and marketing teams to tailor offerings to client needs.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
• Monitor market trends, competitive landscape and regulatory changes to inform business strategy.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development or sales within the Gulf region.
• Strong understanding of non‑government and non‑financial services sectors.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and drive results in a fast‑paced environment.
