Business Development Manager

About the role

RGA is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead its growth strategy across the Middle East and North Africa. You will shape market‑led solutions, build strategic relationships with insurance executives, and drive profitable expansion of the company’s reinsurance and financial services portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Assess market dynamics, industry trends, regulatory changes and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions.
• Develop and execute business development strategies for the MENA region to generate new opportunities.
• Identify, originate and convert new business opportunities across traditional reinsurance, financial solutions, corporate development and emerging markets.
• Build and maintain senior‑level relationships with insurance company executives and key industry stakeholders.
• Lead regional initiatives to enhance the business model, develop new capabilities and expand service scope.
• Collaborate with internal teams to structure, negotiate and execute reinsurance agreements and client solutions.
• Support product development by researching market trends and contributing to strategic planning.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development or sales within insurance, reinsurance or financial services.
• Strong understanding of MENA market dynamics and regulatory environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build senior‑level relationships and influence key stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with a track record of delivering profitable growth.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
