Business Development Manager

About the role

Tap Payments is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive enterprise merchant acquisition across the MENA region. You will lead the full sales cycle, build strategic relationships, and expand the company’s footprint in high‑value sectors such as travel, insurance, marketplaces, SaaS, and financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, target and acquire high‑value enterprise merchants and platforms.
• Develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies to win large enterprise clients.
• Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting to contract signing and go‑live.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants, issuers, acquirers and payment scheme partners.
• Collaborate with Product, Legal, Risk and Compliance teams to structure compliant deals.
• Expand enterprise presence across GCC and North Africa through proactive market development.
• Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, revenue forecasting and regular reporting using CRM tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Economics; MBA preferred.
• 5+ years of enterprise B2B sales experience in fintech, payments or acquiring.
• Proven record of acquiring and managing large enterprise merchants.
• Strong understanding of card acquiring, payment gateways and alternative payment methods.
• Ability to negotiate complex deals and engage C‑level stakeholders.
• Deep knowledge of the GCC payments ecosystem and regulatory frameworks.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM tools for pipeline management and forecasting.
