Business Development Manager

About the role

Surgence Labs is a full‑stack go‑to‑market studio focused on the biggest launches in crypto and AI. As a Business Development Manager you will own the revenue cycle from the first conversation to a signed retainer, working directly with founders and growth leads on high‑impact projects.

Key responsibilities

• Own a pipeline of inbound and outbound leads across crypto and AI, moving prospects from discovery calls to signed contracts.
• Run discovery calls with founders, identify growth blockers and qualify opportunities quickly.
• Collaborate with the strategy team to craft tailored go‑to‑market proposals and close deals on the call.
• Negotiate scope and commercial terms for retainers and campaign agreements.
• Build and execute an outbound engine using Telegram, X, LinkedIn, events and warm introductions.
• Represent Surgence Labs at major conferences such as TOKEN2049 and internal Convergence events.
• Maintain a clean CRM, forecast accurately and monitor closing timelines.
• Stay engaged with signed accounts to spot expansion opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, sales or partnerships with a proven track record of closed deals.
• Hands‑on experience in Web3, crypto or AI, understanding how perp DEXs, L2s or prediction markets generate revenue.
• Existing network of founders, BD leads, investors or KOLs in the space is a strong plus.
• Confidence presenting to C‑level stakeholders and negotiating commercial terms.
• Ability to work at high speed; deals often close within days.
• Background in agency, consulting or startup environments, especially selling marketing, content or growth services.
