About the role
The Cabin Workshop Mechanic supports senior aircraft technicians and licensed engineers in maintaining Emirates and third‑party aircraft in compliance with GCAA regulations. The role is based in the cabin workshop and involves hands‑on tasks to keep aircraft operational and safe.
Key responsibilities
- Assist senior staff with aircraft fuel handling, wheels & brakes servicing, nitrogen recharging, and engine servicing as required.
- Perform basic support servicing and component replacements on Emirates and third‑party aircraft under supervision.
- Inspect all equipment before use, report faults, and ensure timely repair.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and systems (including Ultramain) in good condition.
- Uphold safety standards by keeping the work area clean, obstruction‑free, and monitoring hazards.
- Clean aircraft and engine parts according to approved manuals.
- Assist during push‑back operations to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Support senior mechanics/engineers in snag rectification and component changes using special tools.
Required profile
- Vocational, National or Higher National Diploma (12+2 or equivalent) or apprenticeship in Mechanical, Electronic, Avionics or Aeronautical Engineering.
- Preferable experience in an engineering environment.
- Full awareness of safety procedures and ability to follow them.
