Call Center Operator

About the role

The American University in the Emirates is seeking a Call Center Operator to handle student inquiries, complaints and requests. The role requires active listening, empathy and timely problem‑solving to maintain high satisfaction and protect the university’s reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to inbound calls, emails and other inquiries.
• Investigate, research and resolve issues using the university’s computer systems.
• Transfer calls to the appropriate department when necessary, ensuring a seamless experience.
• Follow up on unresolved matters until they are fully resolved, keeping callers informed.
• Maintain accurate call logs, reports and records of all interactions.
• Identify recurring issues and provide insights for process improvement.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor to support call‑center operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited university.
• 1‑3 years of experience in customer service or a related field.
• Call‑center training or experience preferred.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Arabic.
• High degree of independence, responsibility and judgment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional relationships with faculty, students and stakeholders.

Required skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Arabic.
• Strong customer‑service orientation.
• Effective time‑management and multitasking abilities.

What we offer

• Competitive salary ranging from AED 4,500 to AED 6,000 per month, based on experience.
