Cargo Agent – Ground Handling

About the role

As a Cargo Agent you will be responsible for handling export and import cargo at the airport, ensuring all documentation, loading, and transport activities are performed safely and efficiently. You will work closely with loaders, equipment operators and government authorities to guarantee smooth cargo movement.

Key responsibilities

• Follow airline and customer service policies, SOPs and safety regulations.
• Guide and assist loaders and equipment operators during build‑up, breakdown, acceptance and delivery of cargo.
• Inspect and validate cargo against documentation at each handling point.
• Enter cargo data into the airline’s systems promptly.
• Coordinate with customs, health, police and other authorities for smooth cargo clearance.
• Handle special cargo such as dangerous goods, live animals and valuable items in line with IATA manuals.
• Operate tow trucks, forklifts and other ground‑handling equipment to move loads.
• Load and unload cargo from ULDs, aircraft and trucks.

Required profile

• High school certificate or relevant diploma.
• 2‑4 years of experience in logistics or cargo handling.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.
• Proficient computer literacy.
