Carpenter

About the role

GMG is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join its retail store team in the United Arab Emirates. You will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing wooden structures and fixtures across our store locations, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Measure, cut, shape and assemble wood, plywood and related materials to build or repair frameworks, furniture and fixtures.
• Install doors, windows, flooring, cabinetry and other woodwork with precision.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and construction plans.
• Carry out repairs and maintenance of wooden structures, ensuring stability and compliance with safety codes.
• Use hand tools, power tools and carpentry equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and manage waste materials responsibly.
• Adhere to GMG’s Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) policies and report any hazards immediately.

Required profile

• Up to 2 years of relevant carpentry experience in the UAE.
• Ability to read simple drawings and plans.
• Commitment to safety standards and QHSE procedures.
