Carpenter – Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Carpenter to join our Maintenance team at Fujairah Rotana Resort & Spa. You will play a key part in keeping the hotel’s facilities in top condition, delivering high‑quality workmanship and excellent service to our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and repair works as required.
• Perform day‑to‑day carpentry maintenance throughout the hotel building.
• Fix shelving, cabinet construction, door locks, security items, windows and glazing.
• Operate woodworking machinery and handle general building tasks.
• Remove damaged parts, repair or replace structures using hand tools.
• Finish woodwork and wallboard surfaces with paint, paneling and related techniques.
• Patch and sand plaster or plasterboard defects.
• Ensure all work complies with local technical regulations and safety standards.

Required profile

• High school qualification with solid carpentry experience.
• Good knowledge of building maintenance, workplace safety and safe lifting procedures.
• Strong command of English.
• Ability to identify faults and implement effective solutions.
• Self‑motivated, hands‑on, flexible and able to adapt to unpredictable situations.
• Pro‑active, reliable, detail‑oriented and able to stay calm under pressure.
• Competencies: Job understanding, customer focus, teamwork, adaptability, responsibility.
