Charge Nurse – Labor Room (Aster Hospital, Al Qusais)

About the role

The Charge Nurse will lead the Labor Room nursing team at Aster Hospital Al Qusais, ensuring safe and high‑quality care for mothers and newborns. This full‑time position reports to the Head of Nursing and collaborates closely with obstetricians, midwives and support staff.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of Labor Room nurses and assistants.
• Monitor patient vitals, labour progress and intervene according to clinical protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Facilitate emergency response and neonatal resuscitation when required.
• Participate in staff training, performance evaluations and quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a valid UAE nursing license.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in obstetrics or labor‑room nursing.
• Demonstrated leadership or charge‑nurse experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
