Charge Nurse – Tower C7 (Surgical Wing)

About the role

The Charge Nurse for Tower C7 in the Surgical Wing oversees daily operations, ensuring smooth patient flow and high‑quality care. Reporting to the Nurse Manager, the role combines clinical expertise with leadership to support a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate schedules, assignments, and patient care activities for the unit.
• Monitor staffing levels and skill mix to match patient acuity.
• Supervise and coach support staff, providing constructive feedback.
• Manage utilization of human resources, consumables, and equipment.
• Oversee direct and indirect patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Administer medications in line with organizational policies.
• Collaborate with pharmacy, interdisciplinary teams, and external providers for comprehensive care and discharge planning.
• Respond to emergencies according to established procedures.
• Facilitate effective communication between patients, families, and the care team.
• Provide thorough clinical handovers and participate in patient care rounds.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with experience in a surgical or acute‑care setting.
• Strong leadership and ability to supervise a diverse multidisciplinary workforce.
• Excellent clinical judgment and knowledge of healthcare systems.
• Ability to coordinate resources, referrals, and discharge planning.
