Chartering Manager

About the role

Join DSV’s Global Ocean Chartering Desk in Dubai and help expand the company’s project chartering footprint across the Middle East, Indian subcontinent and Africa. You will work closely with local DSV offices and the global chartering team to deliver best‑in‑class service for break‑bulk, project cargoes and heavy‑lift shipments.

Key responsibilities

• Handle chartering requests and bookings for regional DSV offices, coordinating with project logistics and chartering specialists.
• Travel to project sites and offices across the Middle East, India and Africa to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Participate in customer meetings to support business development and service delivery.
• Develop and maintain a robust network of carriers, acting as the primary contact for the carrier market.
• Collaborate daily with the global chartering team to share knowledge and ensure seamless operations.

Required profile

• Several years of chartering experience with an established network in the industry.
• Proven experience booking project cargoes on multipurpose vessels.
• Familiarity with BIMCO contracts such as CONLINE BOOKING NOTE, GENCON, NYPE and BALTIME.

Required skills

• Knowledge of BIMCO contract types (CONLINE BOOKING NOTE, GENCON, NYPE, BALTIME).
