Chef de Cuisine – Pan-Asian at Buddha-Bar Dubai

About the role

The Chef de Cuisine is responsible for the overall success of daily kitchen operations at Buddha-Bar Dubai, delivering Pan-Asian cuisine. The role combines hands‑on cooking with leadership of the culinary team and management of all food‑related functions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes, develop new menus and recipes, and ensure high‑quality food presentation.
• Supervise kitchen shift operations, enforce food handling, sanitation and safety standards, and maintain equipment.
• Lead, coach and schedule the culinary team, manage staffing levels, and oversee employee performance.
• Control purchasing, receiving, storage, portioning, waste and implement environmentally‑friendly processes.
• Monitor budgets, payroll and financial performance to achieve departmental and property goals.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of culinary experience, or a 2‑year degree in Culinary Arts/Hotel Management with 2 years of experience.
• Proven ability to maintain sanitation and food standards, and to develop creative menu concepts.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate a diverse kitchen staff.
