Chef De Partie – Continental Cuisine (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

The Chef De Partie will work in the Novotel & Ibis Abu Dhabi Gate Hotel kitchen, focusing on Continental cuisine. You will join a dynamic F&B team, supporting the Chef de Cuisine and ensuring high‑quality dishes for all hotel outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and participate in the preparation of mise en place and cooking for all food‑and‑beverage outlets.
• Control freshness, preparation techniques and storage of all ingredients.
• Check personal hygiene and performance of Demi Chefs and Commis Chefs on your section.
• Assist the Chef de Cuisine in developing new recipes and menu ideas.
• Manage daily inventory, product turnover and ordering for your section.
• Oversee cooking procedures, portioning, garnishing and presentation of dishes.
• Collaborate with colleagues from other departments and contribute to special projects as required.
• Prepare work rosters in consultation with the Sous‑Chef and allocate tasks according to the mise en place list.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a 5‑star hotel kitchen.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to exceeding guest expectations and maintaining high standards of personal hygiene and grooming.
• Good knowledge of hotel facilities and ability to answer guest queries politely and promptly.
• Awareness of health and safety responsibilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Continental cuisine preparation.
• Strong knowledge of mise en place, cooking techniques, portion control and plating.
• Ability to supervise and train junior kitchen staff.
