Chef de Partie – Steak House

About the role

The Steak House at The Ritz‑Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal is seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to prepare and present high‑quality dishes while supporting the kitchen team during busy periods.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, substitute items and cold foods according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters and ensure proper food thawing from freezer storage.
• Maintain food logs, monitor portion sizes, garnish presentation and overall food quality.
• Communicate assistance needs during peak service and inform the Chef of excess items for daily specials.
• Update Food & Beverage staff on menu specials, out‑of‑stock items and daily changes.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling and coaching kitchen staff.
• Follow all safety, security and hygiene policies, reporting any hazards or incidents.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant kitchen experience.
• No prior supervisory experience required.

Required skills

• Operating ovens, broilers, grills and roasters.
• Food preparation and cooking according to standardized recipes.
• Maintaining accurate food logs and portion control records.
