Chief Accountant

About the role

The Chief Accountant will lead the accounting section of Dubai Corporation For Ambulance Services, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with Dubai Government regulations, and effective audit controls. This senior position works closely with other finance units to support the organization’s financial health.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in preparing operational plans, policies, and procedures for the finance section.
• Conduct final reviews of audit procedures for inter‑section accounting entries on a monthly basis.
• Audit recording and processing of adjustments approved by section heads.
• Perform bank statement and ledger reconciliations for revenues and payments.
• Execute monthly and annual financial closing for general ledger and payment accounts in line with Dubai Government deadlines.
• Review financial aspects of contracts to ensure accuracy of data, terms, and penalties.
• Audit daily treasury cash reports, monitor revenues, cash deposits, and cheques.
• Carry out any additional duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Master’s, Bachelor’s or Higher Diploma in Accounting or equivalent.
• For a Master’s degree: minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
• For a Bachelor’s degree: minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
• For a Diploma: minimum 11 years of accounting experience.
