Chief Accountant & Tax Specialist

About the role

Deluxe Holiday Homes, a leading short‑term rental and property‑management group in Dubai, is professionalising its finance function. We need a hands‑on Chief Accountant & Tax specialist to own the books, tax filings and audit for all group entities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the month‑end close calendar, review journals, reconciliations and trial balances, and deliver consolidated financials on time.
• Prepare and file UAE Corporate Tax and VAT returns in‑house, maintaining working papers and transfer‑pricing documentation.
• Lead the external audit with Deloitte from preparation through to signed financial statements.
• Act as primary liaison with banks and the Federal Tax Authority on accounts, facilities and correspondence.
• Run the controls framework, ensure segregation of duties, and oversee inter‑company balance reconciliation and elimination.
• Supervise the Senior Accountant in Dubai and the accounting team in Armenia, reviewing their work and maintaining fixed‑asset, accrual and pre‑payment registers.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent) with at least 5 years of experience, including a senior or chief‑accountant role.
• Hands‑on experience filing UAE Corporate Tax and VAT returns.
• Strong background in month‑end close, consolidation and inter‑company accounting across multiple entities.
• Experience managing a Deloitte‑level audit from start to finish.
• UAE resident with excellent written English and comfortable dealing with banks and tax authorities.
