Civil Technician

About the role

Salayel Hospitality is looking for a Civil Technician to support the maintenance, renovation and construction activities across its hospitality assets in the UAE. The role ensures civil works are carried out efficiently, safely and in line with company standards and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day civil maintenance tasks such as masonry, tiling, plastering, painting, concreting and minor structural repairs.
• Assist in renovation, refurbishment and fit‑out projects for hotels, serviced apartments and other hospitality facilities.
• Inspect buildings and facilities, identify civil defects and report corrective actions.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and internal departments to schedule and execute civil‑related tasks.
• Ensure all works comply with UAE civil codes, safety standards and company quality guidelines.
• Prepare basic measurements, material estimates and work reports.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues and urgent repair requests.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in safe and operational condition.

Required profile

• Diploma or ITI certification in Civil Engineering, Building Maintenance or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in civil maintenance or construction, preferably within hospitality, facilities management or real estate.
• Good knowledge of civil works, finishing standards and building materials.
• Familiarity with Abu Dhabi municipality regulations and safety practices is an advantage.
• Ability to read basic drawings and specifications.
• Physically fit and able to work on‑site.
