Civil Technician – Maintenance & Repairs

About the role

The Civil Technician is responsible for responding to guest repair requests and performing routine maintenance across the property. This role ensures that all building systems, equipment and facilities are kept in safe and functional condition while delivering high‑quality service to guests.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment and mechanical‑room assets, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Inspect, test and troubleshoot air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and pneumatic systems.
• Perform minor repairs such as painting, drywall, wood‑trim, light‑bulb and filter replacement, and complete clean‑up of work areas.
• Operate shut‑off valves, follow Lockout/Tagout procedures and ensure safety compliance.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and supplies, and record daily activities for shift hand‑over.
• Repair interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
• Program televisions, update air‑handler schedules and make temperature adjustments using basic computer skills.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and carpentry.
• Ability to perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs.
• Familiarity with safety policies, Lockout/Tagout and handling of flammable materials.
• Good physical ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lb.
• Professional appearance and strong guest‑service orientation.
