Claims Advocate (Heavy Industries & Mining)

About the role

Marsh Risk Consulting is looking for a Claims Advocate to join its Heavy Industries & Mining team in Dubai’s DIFC. The role combines claims support and project management for strategic clients across the MENA region, working both pre‑loss and post‑loss on complex, high‑value claims.

Key responsibilities

• Provide pre‑loss guidance to key clients on expectations and coverage.
• Engage early with notified claims, triage complex or large losses, and advise throughout the claims process.
• Identify relevant policies, interpret coverage layers, and draft claim strategies with clear milestones.
• Design and manage project plans for large or contentious claims, coordinating internal teams and external experts.
• Collaborate with Claims Consulting and other subject‑matter experts to uncover revenue opportunities for clients.
• Maintain relationships with insurers, loss adjusters, and legal counsel to strengthen Marsh’s brand.
• Negotiate with stakeholders, support dispute resolution, and provide technical advice to underwriting.
• Prepare loss statistics, analyse trends, and present findings to clients and insurers.
• Attend meetings with clients, insurers, and third parties as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in claims advocacy, insurance or related consulting.
• Proven ability to manage complex, high‑value claims in heavy‑industry, mining or similar sectors.
• Strong understanding of policy structures and coverage interpretation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Based in or willing to work in Dubai, with a hybrid schedule (minimum three days onsite).
