Vice President - Broker Relationship (Retail)

About the role

The Vice President – Broker Relationship (Retail) will lead the development and management of strategic partnerships with key insurance brokers across the UAE. This senior position drives profitable growth of the retail insurance portfolio, covering Motor, Travel, Home, Medical Malpractice, Personal Accident and other consumer lines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with leading insurance brokers, acting as the primary point of contact and ensuring high engagement and satisfaction.
• Drive sustainable growth across retail insurance products by creating and executing broker growth strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead, mentor and develop the Broker Relationship team, setting performance targets and fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Claims, Operations, Finance, Marketing and Customer Service to ensure seamless service delivery and prompt resolution of broker queries.
• Analyze broker performance, portfolio profitability and KPIs, preparing regular reports and strategic recommendations for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and governance standards, maintaining accurate broker documentation and KYC records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Finance, Marketing or a related discipline; professional insurance qualifications (ACII, Cert CII, Dip CII) are an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the UAE insurance market, including at least 2 years managing relationships with multiple UAE insurance brokers.
• At least 2 years of experience leading and managing teams with a proven track record of achieving business growth through broker channels.
• Strong understanding of retail insurance products such as Motor, Travel, Home, Medical Malpractice and Personal Accident.
• Excellent relationship‑building, stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills.
• Commercially astute with strong analytical, reporting and strategic thinking capabilities.
