Classroom Assistant – Immediate Start (UAE National)

About the role

The school is looking for a UAE National Classroom Assistant to join Yasmina American School in Khalifa City A, Abu Dhabi. The role starts immediately and supports teachers in delivering a high‑quality American curriculum for Pre‑KG to Grade 5.

Key responsibilities

• Provide individual and group support to pupils inside and outside the classroom, ensuring full participation in activities.
• Assist with health and safety matters and monitor pupil well‑being.
• Help implement and track individual education programmes for pupils with additional needs.
• Support teachers with pupil records, photocopying, preparing displays, and other classroom tasks.
• Supervise pupils, check attendance, and maintain a disciplined learning environment.
• Collaborate with specialists such as speech and occupational therapists.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of behaviour policies.

Required profile

• UAE National.
• Minimum attested secondary school certificate, diploma or degree.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Classroom Assistant.
• Demonstrated ability to support pupils with emotional, behavioural or special educational needs.
