About the role

The Clinical Operations Nursing Supervisor is a registered nursing professional responsible for overseeing daily nursing services, ensuring high‑quality patient care, and supporting staff across assigned units in a leading women’s and children’s hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily nursing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality patient care.
• Provide clinical leadership, guidance and support to nursing staff across assigned units and departments.
• Monitor patient care activities and ensure compliance with established clinical standards, policies and procedures.
• Manage staffing schedules, patient assignments and nursing workforce allocation to meet operational needs.
• Conduct performance evaluations, competency assessments and provide coaching and mentorship to nursing staff.
• Ensure adherence to infection prevention and control measures, patient safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with physicians, multidisciplinary teams and department leaders to optimise patient outcomes.
• Respond to and resolve patient care issues and complaints promptly.

Required profile

• Registered nursing professional with experience in clinical operations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead nursing teams and coordinate staffing.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare policies, regulatory standards and infection control.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with physicians, patients and families.
